Tulum Yacht Charters
Private boat charters for guests staying in Tulum and Akumal, departing from the Puerto Aventuras marina forty minutes north — turtle bays, cenote coastline and reefs away from the crowds.
Getting to the boat
There is no charter marina in Tulum itself — the coast there is open beach with no harbour. Boats leave from Puerto Aventuras, about forty minutes north on the highway. We can arrange round-trip transport from your hotel or villa so the drive is not your problem.
The Akumal turtle bay
Akumal sits between Tulum and Puerto Aventuras and is one of the most reliable places on this coast to swim with sea turtles. Most captains build it into the day when the sea allows. Beyond it, the INAH reef offers the clearest snorkeling, and Xpu-Ha is where the boats anchor for the long swim stop.
Seeing Tulum from the water
On an eight-hour charter the boats can reach the Tulum ruins from the sea — the cliffside castle above the beach is a genuinely different photograph from that angle than from the archaeological site. It is a full day and worth planning around calm weather.
Which boats
Anything in the Puerto Aventuras fleet works. For couples and small families the 42 to 48-foot sport yachts are the value pick; for groups over fifteen the Lagoon 45 and Leopard 51 catamarans give you shade and space, which matters on a long day this far south.

Is there a marina in Tulum?
No. The nearest one is Puerto Aventuras, about forty minutes north. Transport from your hotel can be quoted with the charter.
Can we swim with turtles?
Often, yes — Akumal bay and the INAH reef are both turtle habitat. Sightings are common but never guaranteed; it depends on the sea and the day.
Can we see the Tulum ruins from the boat?
Yes, on an eight-hour charter. It is the longest run on this coast, so pick a calm day and an early departure.
How early should we leave?
Morning. The sea is flattest before noon, the light is better for photos and the reef stops are far less crowded.
