SUNDANCER 44 Charter
This 44-foot Sea Ray Sundancer hits the sweet spot between a boat that looks the part in photos and a price a group of friends can actually split. It sleeps two cabins, has a full galley, air conditioning and two showers, and there is a padded sun pad up front that nobody wants to leave.
It sails out of the Costa Mujeres and Playa Mujeres side of Cancún, so if you are staying up that way the marina is a short drive. The usual day is six to eight hours to Playa Norte on Isla Mujeres, with a snorkeling stop on the way. Punta Sur, on the south end of the island, has been the quieter favourite lately — shallow turquoise flats and far fewer boats than the north beach.
The captain and sailor on this boat are the reason people come back. Beer, water, sodas, ice, towels, life jackets, snorkel gear and fuel are all in the price, and the crew handles the rest of the day for you.
