The first question almost every guest asks us on WhatsApp is some version of what does it cost? The honest answer is that it depends on the boat and the hours, not on how many people come aboard. That single fact changes how you should shop for a charter in Cancún and the Riviera Maya, so let’s start there.
Charters are priced per boat, not per person
A shared tour sells you a seat. A private charter sells you the whole vessel, its captain and its crew for a block of hours. If four people rent a 40-foot yacht for four hours, they pay the same as twelve people would on the same boat. The bigger your group, the less each guest pays — which is why families and groups of friends almost always end up ahead with a private boat instead of buying eight or ten tickets on a party catamaran.
What a charter actually costs in 2026
Here is the honest range across our fleet, all prices in USD for the boat:
- Speedboats and sailboats — from $700 for two hours. The cheapest way to get on the water. Great for a sunset run or a quick reef stop.
- Mid-size yachts, 40 to 47 ft — $1,300 to $1,550 for four hours. The sweet spot for six to twelve guests.
- Catamarans, 38 to 46 ft — $1,500 to $1,700 for four hours. More deck, more shade, more stability.
- Larger yachts and luxury catamarans, 50 to 65 ft — $1,950 to $2,950 for four hours, with cabins, air conditioning and full crew.
- Full-day charters to Cozumel — $2,600 to $5,670 for eight or nine hours, depending on the vessel.

What is included in the price
Every charter we run includes the licensed captain and crew, fuel, port clearance, an unlimited open bar with a bartender, food prepared on board, snorkeling equipment for every guest, towels, ice and safety gear. On boats that carry them, paddleboards and floating mats come along too. You bring sunscreen, a hat and a swimsuit.
The charges that are not included
This is where most people get surprised by other operators, so we spell it out:
- Dock fee: $10 to $20 USD per person, collected by the marina at boarding. It is a government charge, not ours.
- Crew gratuity: customary but at your discretion. Some larger vessels apply a mandatory 10% service charge — it is stated on that boat’s page.
- Marine park wristbands: only where they apply, mainly on Cozumel and certain reef stops.
- Cozumel transfer: if your full-day charter includes El Cielo, there is a round-trip tender fee of around $520 USD for up to ten guests.
- Extras you choose: hotel transportation, extra catering, DJ, decoration.
How the deposit works
We hold your date with a deposit of 20% to 35% depending on the boat, paid by card through a secure payment link. The balance is settled at the dock on the day of your charter, in cash or card. If the port authority closes the marina for weather, you get a full refund or a free reschedule — that is not a negotiation, it is our standing policy.
How to get a real number for your date
Send us your date, the number of guests and where you are staying. You will get back two or three boats that fit, with photos and an all-inclusive figure — not a “starting from” teaser that grows once you commit. Most quotes go out the same day.
